So, I made lots of Christmas candy last night. Not so much lots of kinds, just lots of two kinds. They were for work people, but like I said, I made lots, so I will bring home the rest for Christmas. First, I made these yummy truffles. I don't actually know that they are yummy, because I was so sick of chocolate from licking it off my hand, that I didn't want to eat one when I was done. And I got better at them as I went a long, and I gave the good ones to work people. So, you guys get the sucky ones that don't look as pretty. But I'm sure they are just as yummy. Also, dipping things in chocolate? Not as easy as it looks. I couldn't get the top covered, then they kept falling off the toothpick back into the bowl. And the later it got, the clumpier the chocolate got, so it didn't smooth out as well after I put them back on the tray. I also made these Pretzel/Rolo/Turtle things that Holly suggested. I did try one of these, and it was pretty good. Also, much easier to make. I still have lots of pretzels, rolos, and pecans left, so I may make some more. They were that easy to make. And they will put Shannon's difficult, homemade, from freshly cracked pecan, actual turtles to shame.
So, there are your yummy Christmas Candies to look forward to! Mmmmmm!

:| Ouch.
That's it. She's going down.
No toffee for you!
But Holly is going to make me some when she flies in on Friday. She will. At least, if she wants a ride to Tucson.
So I guess this means I'm bringing my candy thermometer?
We can go buy one. I need to go get a sifter anyway.
Didn't you buy a sifter last time I was home? i seem to remember at least looking at one...
Hey...I just found this for you Melissa.
